INCUBATION

To foster the growth of new media companies in Indiana, IDEE helps incubate talented students who express an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in starting their own company.

The most recent participants of the program are BSU alumni Ian Nixon and Joe Backe, who are starting a new company focused in the world of education. With the help of IDEE and the Center for Media Design, these entrepreneurs have been working to develop a business plan, understand their market, brand their product/service, and run a new media business that generates revenue in the state of Indiana. Because of this close relationship, once the company is on its own it can offer future Ball State students professional immersion experiences. Incubation began in August of 2007 and imMEDIAte is set to roll out in June of 2008.
