Fall Semester of 2009 is going to be an exciting time at the Institute for Digital Entertainment and Education. We are working on a feature length documentary in addition to a number of educational projects using the ViziSwap interface. As always, we are currently looking for talented students to get involved! Please help us spread the word!
Every experience at IDEE is a great way to learn by doing and build your resume:
Employment Positions:
- Flash ActionScript Programmer: We are looking for a student who is knowledgeable in Flash Actionscript 3.0 and XML to help make upgrades to ViziSwap.
- Web Developer/Programmer: We are looking for a student for a number of web projects that bring together HTML, PHP, and MySQL to create interactive experiences.
Immersion Positions
For these positions we are looking for students from any major interested in earning credit for their involvement in a number of digital media projects.
- TCOM/Video Production Research Students: This is a chance to get involved with our documentary film project. Students in this class will be working with Dr. James Connolly to research and edit historical videos both recent and from the 70's and 80's.
- Social Media Writer: This student will work with Criminal Justice, English as a Second Language and other groups currently creating lessons in an interactive tool called ViziSwap to start and maintain a social media presence. Good writing skills and an interest in promotions/social media.
- Video Production: Students interested in camera work, lighting, and sound, as well as in post-production editing and video graphics for film, documentary and educational video work.
- Marketing and Promotions: students interested in marketing, public relations, advertising, event planning, or social media. Work alongside a public relations company to help with distribution of the independent film My Name is Jerry.
