Through partnerships with local companies, the Institute for Digital Entertainment and Education aims to:

• Contribute to the new media economy in the state of Indiana.
• Develop immersive opportunities that bring students from different academic areas together to create a specific product and learn from their peers in the process.
• Create opportunities for students to take part in the development of commercially viable products.
• Help create a connection between Ball State students and new media companies that will provide future graduates with the kind of experience desired in the marketplace.
