iDMAa
To help the International Digital Media & Arts Association (iDMAa) publicize and educate the public about their 2008 conference, we decided to create a ViziSwap that could be posted on the association's website. The finished design shares the speakers, events and connections made at the conference, as well as briefly exploring the organization itself and it's purpose. View the site.
CULTURAL TRAIL
The Cultural Trail is a world-class urban bike and pedestrian
path that will connect Indianapolis neighborhoods, cultural districts and entertainment amenities, and that will serve as the downtown hub for the central Indiana greenway trail system. The trail is currently under construction.
To create awareness and educate the public about this unique project, IDEE partnered with the Central Indiana Community Foundation to create video assets that help residents and visitors visualize the trail as it will appear upon completion and celebrate each of the cultural districts that it will connect.
RIVAR'S
IDEE is developing an immersion experience with Rivar’s, an Albany, Indiana business owned by BSU graduate, Beth Slusher.
BSU students from business, computer science, and media will work to develop an interactive web universe featuring video, photography, text, and audio assets that facilitate communications and industry in the world of Show Choir.
INDIANA STATE JUDICIAL CENTER
We recently partnered with the Indiana State Judicial Center to film a mock trial to be used as an educational asset that aims to help child abuse and neglect cases get through the court system more effectively and efficiently. One specific goal is to better educate social work case workers about the legal system in which they play a critical role.
DIGITAL CURRICULUM
IDEE and the Institute for Digital Intermedia Arts and Animation have partnered with the College of Fine Arts to create digital entertainment
and art curriculum in Second Life. The initial pilot, is aimed at providing college credit to high school students.
IDEE's contribution to this project is a short online course that instructs students on “what makes a story” and how to write a 2-minute script. After completing the course, students are encouraged to explore the curriculum available in Second Life. View the beta site.
